“It was a difficult decision for my mom, who did not want to leave her home after 65 years, but she realized she couldn’t take care of my dad and the day to day running of a household anymore. My dad adjusted to the move quite well, but it took Mom a little while. The staff made the transition much easier with their attention to detail of my parent’s needs.
Ernie, the wonderful shuttle driver, has been a Godsend for my mom ever since my dad’s passing on July 9, 2018. He takes the residents on outings and to their appointments and is a bright spot in Mom’s week. The staff has been exceptional in making sure Mom is active and participates in the many activities at The Courtyard. Mom has one of the larger apartments, which is furnished with her own things which helps make The Courtyard, home.
I feel my mom is being taken care of which gives our family peace of mind.”
